Ord-East Kimberley Expansion Project
The Ord/East Kimberley Expansion Project is well underway. The project is valued at over $400 million and includes upgrades to social infrastructure and expanding the irrigation scheme by 8,000 hectares.
The Moonamang Joint Venture (a joint venture between Leighton and Indigenous Business Australia) is progressing toward completion of the first phase of the two Phase irrigation expansion.

John Holland Construction is the major contractor for a variety of health and education buildings in Kununurra, Wyndham and neighbouring remote Communities.
There are opportunities for sub-contractors to work with John Holland Construction to develop these projects.
Broome North
LandCorp continues to progress this significant development that may ultimately house an additional 13,000 people in Broome. Development of Broome North will respect the cultural and environmental heritage of the area and will include land for retail and community facilities.
Ertech are the main contractor for civil works.
Building works have been completed and a range of builders are active in preparations for developments on site including the construction of a display village that will engage 8 different building companies.

Derby Correctional Facility
A state of the art correctional facility designed to significantly reduce re-offending and improvement re-integration especially amongst its predominantly indigenous inmates.
The prison is being gradually populated from June 2012 and has numerous opportunities for local suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors.

Browse Basin Oil and Gas
A final investment decision by the Browse Joint Venture, lead by Woodside, on the proposed site location at for a LNG processing facility is expected in the first half of 2013.
The proponents are encouraging businesses to provide as much information about their current business capacity to allow a full understanding of the business environment in the West Kimberley.
